A special honor for Gabe Dalmath came at a luncheon in Greece Wednesday
afternoon. The Northwest Family YMCA is naming its annual fundraiser walk in honor
of TV 10's long time colleague Gabe, who passed away in September, 2006.
All of the money raised goes to the YMCA's Camp Northpoint in Greece. Gabe's family attended the
luncheon. His mother, Kate has had a long association with the YMCA. She is urging everyone to take
part.
“It's a great honor to have a walk in memory of Gabe … he was very active from skiing to windsurfing,”
said Kate.
The Gabe Dalmath Healthy Strides for Happy Kids Walk to benefit Camp Northpoint gets underway
Sunday, March 25 at The Mall at Greece Ridge Center. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.. For more
information, you can call the Northwest YMCA at 227-3900.
The walk rasied more money than expected, bringing in more than $20,000 in donations.
