Please mark your calendar to participate in the second annual YMCA Gabe Dalmath Memorial Healthy Strides for Healthy Kids Walk, which will be held at The Mall at Greece Ridge Center.
In 2003 when the YMCA was raising money to build Camp Northpoint Gabe stepped up as Honorary Chair of the inaugural walk. His support helped raise more than $20,000 the first year.
Summer Camp can provide one of the most rewarding experiences in a child's life. Since 1970s, the Northwest Family YMCA has provided outstanding day camp programs for thousands of children - helping them to build relationships, make lifelong friends and develop positive values.
In June 2005, the Northwest Family YMCA opened the first phase of YMCA Camp Northpoint, and for the past three summers, campers and families have enjoyed the swim center complex, playground, sport fields, hiking paths, climbing tower, shelters and an aqua sprayground. Camp Northpoint will open in the summer of 2008 with a new multi-sports court and in the future, hopes to add an outdoor amphitheater, low ropes course with a zip line, as well as additional nature trail for expanded outdoor education programming.
All funds raised through the Gabe Dalmath Memorial "Healthy Strides for Happy Kids" Walk
will be used to fund further development at Camp Northpoint.
Come join us and show your support to the children of the community! There will be entertainment, refreshments, prizes and lots of fun!
Hundreds of people walked last year raising a record amount, more than $20,000 for Camp Northpoint.
